Tidigare har hon bland annat varit ordföranden för Högsta domstolen. Många känner stor lättnad över att våldet upphört men också att de fått ett nytt framtidshopp.

Sushila Karki Sworn In: On the evening of September 12 (just an hour ago), Sushila Karki was formally sworn in as Nepal’s interim Prime Minister, following intense negotiations between President Ram Chandra Paudel, Gen Z protest leaders, and the Nepal Army. Karki is the first woman to hold Nepal’s highest executive office. Her reputation for judicial integrity and independence from political parties has made her a symbol of hope for many.
